We are here exactly 3 months today.
I thought I would write a list of the things I love the most about South Australia but I can't make up my mind if I should make a list of my top 10 or 12.
I'm joking. but somehow I just can't make this list.
But I did some thinking with myself (aloud in the car while little M. was looking at me like she's hoping it is not genetic), trying to figure out if I feel here at home.
And well, yes, I do. I mean, I REALLY do.
What makes you feel at home in a specific place? Is it related to the amount of time you spent in a certain place? Is it really a PLACE, this where-we-call-home?
I don't know and I don't feel philosophical or even logical enough right now to try and answer.
In a funny way, I found today this interesting project that made a contest of 'visual exploration of the concept of 'home,' across continents, oceans and neighborhood'.
Sometimes pictures are so much better than words.
What's home for you?
Home is where I wake up to smell fresh coffee made especially for me...
ReplyDeleteHome to me is where my hubby and pup are.:)
ReplyDeleteHome is here I feel at peace
ReplyDeleteI loved this post! Home is where my little puppy rests her head. :)

mmmm.... home.... home for me is the place where i can insulate myself from the big bad world and feel safe and snug. it's my sanctuary. having my husband and cats here is what makes the physical house a home. i will add you to the google reader- so please keep on writing... :) i have several blogs and i personally find blogging to be cathartic. and i have met so very many nice folks out there in the blogosphere- many of whom i have never met but consider friends nonetheless.
Another Etsian here.
ReplyDeleteHome is where my hubby is. At the moment, our physical location is not where we feel rooted, but we're together. Of course the dogs and cats and the sewing machine and the guitars all add to the homey feel!
Keep blogging if it's fun for you. I get very few comments, but I enjoy the process. And it's almost a "home away from home" in itself.
Nice blog, by the way!
What a great post.
ReplyDeleteI think home is the place you've left your heart, where you can feel deep breathing, and that ultimate comfort level. (been thinking about home a lot lately!)

Thanks everyone for your kind words!! I appreciate it a lot!
ReplyDeleteHome is where the End key is...
ReplyDelete:)
(metaphoric speaking... END of the day, weekEND... and so on)
But most of all, home is here. Where you read this, or where you think of it. Just "here".
Joe - I like your metaphor and totally agree!
