Hiding in the City - Liu Bolin

I find these works by Liu Bolin stunning.
Liu, also known as the Invisible Man, is a young Chinese artist, based in Beijing.
He is inspired by not fitting in to modern society and explores in his works how city surroundings affect people living in them.

The following works are from the series 'camouflage’. The series is an exploration of human nature and animal instincts that uses concealment as self-protection.
Liu sees his work as a silent protest against the Government's persecution of artists. "My work is a kind of reminder, to remind people what the community we live in really looks like, and what kind of problems exist"
