Last minutes of Blog Action Day

So... Blog Action Day '09 is almost over in our timezone here at South Australia but is still going on around the world.
I enjoyed so much taking part of it!
The enthusiasm of the BAD team (that's a good acronym you've got to admit) was quite catching and I could feel the energy even 8,000 km away.
And it wasn't only me who got excited! I hope you have noticed that the main post for Blog Action Day was written by no other than The Man himself!!
I was trying to persuade him to join blogging as from the very beginning and here it is!
So thank you my darling for this beautiful post and I really hope you'll be seen here more often!

Now lets go back to Blog Action Day. As October 15th is almost over, there is still a lot we can do about global warming and climate change.
I urge you to click here and check the various ways you can get involved.
There are so many different campaigns going on right now and it is sometimes a bit confusing to cope with the different missions, organizations and the goals and actions of the different ones.
I suggest you try and stick to (at least) one organization you find the most relevant to you, maybe in terms of specific action you think will suit you, a location that is near you etc.

I found the 350.org very appealing and easy to understand. The thing I like the most about it is its local attitude.
350.org is an international campaign dedicated to building a movement to unite the world around solutions to the climate crisis, the solutions that science and justice demand.
Watch this lovely animation to learn about the 350 campaign in 90 seconds and 0 words.

Here are some local activities going on as part of the 350.org Action Day on October 24th:
Sydney, Australia - Go on and plant a tree in the Parramatta area and have a vegetarian lunch (details)
