I’m jealous of Wayne White Too!!

The Jealous Curator sometimes expresses my feelings towards art better than I do. He says: "I know it's good when I'm left thinking DAMN I WISH I THOUGHT OF THAT" and that's 100% true to me.

When thinking about it, I'm jealous of the Jealous Curator because of the way he feels so free to express his feelings like he does.
When I saw the artwork of Wayne White on the Jealous Curator's blog all I could feel was my jealousy rising to levels far beyond what considered to be normal.

I visit thrift stores on a weekly basis. Looking for finds and for inspiration. I always check those landscape pictures thinking of a good use of them. And here, Wayne White, with his blowing creativity, turning these vintage landscapes into modern, typographic masterpieces. Glorious.

Wayne White is an American artist, art director, cartoonist and illustrator.
One of his most famous work is his painting Nixon which was featured on the cover of the album Nixon, by the band Lambchop. As a school friend of Lambchop's Kurt Wagner, White has contributed to four of the band's album covers.
He also art directed two music videos, Peter Gabriel's "Big Time" in 1986, for which he won a Billboard award for best Art Direction in a music video, and in 1996 he designed all the Georges Méliès inspired sets for the award-winning video for the Smashing Pumpkins, "Tonight, Tonight".

More of Wayne's smart art can be found at Artnet.
