Face It

Can't get enough of these face prints at Barneys.
The Fornasetti line consist of pillows, trays, vases, rugs and even umbrellas, with Piero Fornasetti's iconic face design, mostly in black and white.

Fornasetti made more than 500 variations on a face of a woman, most of them featuring operatic soprano Lina Cavalieri as a motif that eventually become his trademark.

I find Lina Cavalieri's face and especially her eyes haunting. I wonder how it feels to have a face-pillow staring at you every day from your couch... mmm....?

  1. Those are cool! I bet it would be a little odd to have eyes watching you whenever you enter a room. Then again, it would be odder if it was your own face.
