Cloudmon is an impressive sculpture or toy designed by Joon&Jung - a young designer duo, originally from Korea.
Joons and Jungyou met in the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands, and had been working together as ‘Joon&Jung’ since 2008.
The Cloudmon, as many other designs by the imaginative Joon&Jung, is inspired by clouds. The blue legs resembles rain in a wonderful way that make you sense its motion.

Joon&Jung say:
"Ambiguously, the sculpture and craft are difficult to get near to people.
We would like to open the drawing of this sculpture to share with people, and also we will sell the Cloudmon with a printed paper for DIY assembling. This will give you a pleasure as an artisan experience. It would be a little bit difficult to assemble, but you might fill big achievement."
I think it is a great idea and a great opportunity for a join activity with kids, so they can 'feel' the process of creating art. I'm sure my little M. would be super delighted to try and build her own clouds! Especially when you can always have a little baby cloudmon to follow his mom everywhere....

wow, i don't really know how to feel about this: on one hand I've never seen a cloud looking so..pointy and spiky before, but on the other hand, it has this light and fluffy look, just like a real cloud :) very interesting work :)
ReplyDeleteI would probably name it something and treat it as a pet...
ReplyDeleteSo clever. I love the way they've expressed a clouds movement and action:)
