House of Color & Pattern

This house, in Zichron Ya'akov, a charming little town overlooking the Mediterranean coast of Israel, is the home of Micheal, an architect, and Nava, an artist. They had designed and built most of the place by themselves, by combining some salvaged building materials and interesting design elements with their love of color.

Although a little over the top for me, I find its non-compromised bold design so inspiring.
I love their decorated floor so much and the way they integrates those rich patterns everywhere, from the floor, to the artworks, to the dining table, the staircase and so on. What element would you steal to enhance your space?

  1. I think it is mandatory that if you live in the Mediterranean you have to decorate with color. I would die. I can't decorate with color for the life of me.
