Habitus or my love for printed magazines

I made myself an habit of waiting for the postman each morning. He usually arrives by 9am, riding his scooter and wearing a yellow helmet.
I have to admit that the letterbox doesn't share my enthusiasm for snail-mail. It is mostly empty, sometimes contains the bills and just very rarely hold an interesting surprise for me.
This morning was an exceptional beautiful and sunny and when I walked out towards the letterbox, I felt there is something special waiting for me...
And what a great way to open a new day! A new Habitus Magazine arrived right at my door!

I already shared with you my feelings for Habitus. But I have to tell you, I just love it more and more with every issue.
Here's a little sneak peek into what is waiting for you on the Habitus Issue 09.

I have to admit, I'm an internet junkie. My sphere is the blogosphere. I eat and breath electronic words and images. But although the internet is so overwhelming with its unlimited-ness, there is nothing (and never will be) like the written, printed word. And the smell of fresh-printed magazine will always make me smile while sniffing the glossy papers.

Update - regarding to TK's comment, you can subscribe to Habitus Magazine worldwide here, get an online version for your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch here or at different stockists around Australia here. Enjoy!

  1. I have never heard of Habitus - where can I get hold of one to see it?? It looks amazing. I too have love of holding, smelling, feeling the actual page & have a MASSIVE weakness for good magazines.

  4. I bought the last issue after reading your previous post but couldn't find it anywhere since!
Although it brings some special interest and appealing when you search for something that long, eventually I gave up and actually thought maybe they stopped printing! Happy to learn about the new issue, looks interesting.

  7. Oh, gosh, this is fantastic! As much as I'm addicted to the web, too, nothing can replace sitting with a hot cup of tea/coffee/hot cocoa with a magazine in your lap!
