Pia's Brussels










Pia's mini trip to Brussels made me realize, again, how isolated Australia is...
And don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining! I know that many of the reasons that make OZ such a special place and make me love it as much as I do, are a direct result of it being so far away, down under.
But then again, the easiness in which one can spontaneously decide to go on a little trip to another country, the possibility of experiencing a different culture, language, food and stroll among unfamiliar streets, smells and fashion is something I miss about living in Europe.

Would you enjoy a spontaneous trip to a foreign place from time to time?

    Lovely images, makes me want to visit Brussels! And I realize we are fortunate that way here in Europe, it's cheap and easy to visit another country and see another culture for a few days and I try to do so at least once or twice a year :)

    i get that feeling when flying back to australia. after about 3 connections i feel like i'm flying to the end of the earth! pia's photos are beautiful, and thanks for the link to that lovely garden blog :)

    Such beautiful photos! I would love to be able to go on spontaneous little jaunts to foreign countries. To be able to just pick up and go whenever the mood strikes would be an absolute dream.

    beautiful pictures, especially the one with chairs in the window. actually Brussels looks isolated in the photos haha)) i 've always dreamt to go to Australia though,i'm sure i'll fall in love with the country!

    Yes, from time to time we make small weekend trip in other region of Italy or in other country of Europe. I like very much to go in Greece.
