Analog Sunday



If you follow this blog for sometime now, you know that I post 5 days a week and then take a break for the weekend.
I'm on a break from blogging, that's true, but I do use this time to answer emails, to catch up with your blogs and enjoy some quiet 'surfing' time.
Last Sunday it somehow happened that I went offline for the whole day and although it felt a bit weird, I really enjoyed it and felt somehow relieved.

After reading Avalonne Hall's post The Science of Today is the Technology of Tomorrow I decided to follow her advice and start enjoying an Analog Sunday.
So, sorry friends if I'll be visiting less blogs then usual over the weekend and probably my inbox will suffer, but I'm sure it is good practice for the long run!!!

May I suggest and wish you a quiet and slow Analog Sunday?

    it is amazing how much we are all plugged into technology these days, it seems like a real challenge to not use the internet or phone for a day! i think a break is a great idea...if only i could actually follow thru!

    i think this is a great idea! i try to have at least one internet free day a week so that i can decompress. hope you enjoy your analog sunday, galit x

    Oh, that sounds like a wonderful idea ... and I'd love to join you too (perhaps in a couple of weeks anyway ... once I stop chasing my tail).

    I try and do the same as you, blog five times a week (doesn't always happen) and then take a break to catch up with other online stuff on the weekend.

    I love the idea :)

    Think I am far too attached to my PC to stay completely away from it but we do try to get out and about every Sunday instead of just slacking at home in front of the screen!

    And I keep up with all my favorite blogs still but unfortunately I don't have as much time to comment as I used to! And I don't always have time to catch up every day either but just the more fun saved up for the weekend - right? :)

    yes! I love days away from the computer. Away from my phone even (I don't have one of those phones that can go on the internet though! not yet.)

    this sounds fantastic! Although, I get alot of my work done in my shop/blog over the weekend, so I'm not sure it's practical for me. I have started closing the laptop and "signing off" for the night earlier during the week. I've been trying to stop checking email/facebook obsessively.
