The long journey and Hong Kong

My parents are on their lonnnnnnnng journey down under to stay with us for the next 4 weeks.
I'm so excited. I was hardly breathing for the whole day. Checked the time again and again and again and tried to calculate where exactly they are at the moment.
They have a long flight to Hong Kong where they will stay overnight and then another long flight over here.
Almost 3.5 days overall. I know we are far away but now it really seems like we are in the (far) end of the world.

I'm also so happy that they will have the chance to visit Hong Kong on their way here - It is one of my all-time favorite places. Something about its contradictions always gets me; Fast business vs. slow temples, new shopping centers (shopping is a religion in Hong Kong) vs. old traditions, hectic city life vs. quiet beautiful parks and harbors.

Thinking about it, made me upload a few photos of our stay in Sha Tin at the New Territories just 4 months ago. I had the best time (although much too short) but you shouldn't ask The Man about it, It was hard to convince him to leave the hotel because of the high humidity... At least he had this amazing view from the window.

I hope my folks will enjoy it as much as I do but mostly, I just want them to arrive already......
