I have discovered Freunde von Freunden via Desire to Inspire lately and what a great discovery it was!
Freunde von Freunden, 'Friends of Friends' in German, is a new interiors photography site, in the same spirit of The Selby.
I found its display to be very organized and clean, something different from the somewhat messy-cozy, bohemian feeling the Selby is giving you. The living spaces you'll find here are located in Germany and are basically belong to, as the site's title state: Friends of friends of the FVF's team.
The concept is again very similar to the Selby's: Each feature present one day in the life of one creative individual. The precise photographs, with a lot of attention to details, follow the subject in his/her natural environment whether at home, in a studio or in their neighborhood. A text or video interview is following the photographs.
I have chosen to post here some photos from the interview with Malin Elmlid's elegant Berlin apartment which is full of light, vintage finds and unique personal styling. Enjoy!

I'm not sure whom I've fallen in love with, Malin's down to earth charm or her decorative apartment. I enjoyed so much reading the interview with her where she talks about fresh food, traveling, music and fashion.
I'll finish the post with a quote of Malin from the interview that I find fantastic:
"I treat my bread like a piece of design and people should sometimes spend more time and money on what they eat, rather than what they wear."
Here's to choosing our bread with the same careful way we choose our cloths!
I love the idea behind it all, and the end result. How amazing, and how gorgeous. the bread quote is a killer! :)
ReplyDeletehow lovely! great idea with bags on the walls, and the quote about bread made me review my attitude to shopping :)
ReplyDeletethis is a very nice space you have chosen to share. i do agree, however, that the selby showcases more of the "messy" homes, rather than this that has a more clean feel. thank you very much for sharing, i had not heard of this until now!
