The last time, before today, that I felt like an active member of the world, was last Friday morning.
Since then I was crushed under one of the wild viruses that hang around (much too freely) this winter.
I'm not sure what I was doing the whole week; It felt like an hallucinating mix of sleep, long hours of staring at the windows/walls/ceiling and some more blissful moments, when I felt a little better and made it to read a couple of pages in my book (David Mitchell's Ghostwritten).
Overall I felt like a dark cloud is casting shadow over me, or like I'm hidden behind a thick curtain that I can't move.
Okay, enough drama. I'm good now, and happy to be back together with the haunting Nocturne series by Chad Wys, that in a way, visualize my last week quite perfectly.
How was your week my friends?
And, how do these works make you feel? Comfortably hidden? Vulnerably erased? Please tell me!
P.S. I'm taking The GOOD 30-Day Challenge and will unplug at 8 this month. I find it a nice challenge and great way to slow down a little. Would love to hear if you're joining in!

arghhh... you poor bugger... probably just as well that you can't remember much of your wild virus week!!! I think you are lucky being the one with the virus... I had to look after a little one with a horrid virus last week! I would rather be the one in a viral hallucination :)
ReplyDeleteI think those painting sums it up a little too well.. that's how I felt too :) Glad you are back in the world again... Hooray!!
I'm going to do the Good 30 Day Challenge too Galit...I have always been quite skinny until I started this whole blogging thing...now for the first time in a long time I am putting on weight. It's all that sitting in front of the computer I'm sure of it. The 30 day thing will definetely be good for me. Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteI love Chad's paintings...I think the glimpses he shows us of peoples faces is intriguing...
I'm glad to hear you're feeling better Galit, take care and try not to rush back into things too quickly...Now, it's nearly 8pm, time to go x
These are amazing, I feel like the artist was upset with the original work and threw water on the canvas to make is disappear..very intriguing. Glad to heat that you are feeling better :)
ReplyDeletei'm glad you're better now. Love the paintings by the way. I like the contrast between amazing detail and rough brushwork.
