Mary Katrantzou by Erik Madigan Heck

My pattern loving heart missed more than one heart bit when I first saw this editorial of Mary Katrantzou's latest collection.

The set was photographed by NY-based photographer Erik Madigan Heck for Nomenus Quarterly (The World’s Most Expensive Magazine! ummm....).

Heck, who was inspired by the late interior paintings of the 19th century French painters Pierre Bonnard and Edouard Vuillard created a dream-like, luxurious (decadent even) looking editorial with layer over layer of rich, dazzling pattern. I can't stop looking. Stunning!

P.S. If you want more blinding patterns, Amy of Umbrella Prints, just published a beautiful post yesterday - Pattern over Pattern, have a look.
