Friday Finds 4X4 Special Edition

It happens to the best of us and yet, is so frustrating when happens to you. Out of nowhere, you wake up on a fine Friday and you're blocked.
You browse the best blogs for inspiration. You make yourself a cup of coffee. You flip through your favorite magazines. You finish your coffee. You go to and fro around the house. Nope. Nada. Niente. Niets. Zéro. Nothing comes.

Funny enough, dear Amanda of Mocking Bird just published a terrific post about photographers block.
Blocks. I have them in different shapes and titles lately - writers block, photographers block, bloggers block, wives block, you name it. But hey, it is such a great post so I tried working Amanda's way and be inspired by her themes to curate another addition of Friday Finds.
It is Saturday morning and I give up.

Because I'm not a quitter and because I believe in improvisation, Here comes a special Friday Finds 4X4.
Instead of 16 shops with 16 items by a specific theme, Friday Finds 4X4 feature 4 great shops and 4 great item.

Jess Amity from New Mexico got the finest collection of eclectic vintage, jewelry, clothing and accessories. Every item is one-of-a-kind and so unique. My favorite is the Hand Embroidered Recycled Vintage Leather and Lace Capelet (upper left).

Indianapolis' Melissa Bryant can create your family as chairs! In her  artworks you'll also find an octopus in a library,  a monster behind the couch and fantastic collages/illustrations of sidewalks. I love her Family Portraits section. Her wild imagination made me smile.

New Yorker Layla Delridge of Ledthread create designs which are super smart, edgy and unique. I adore her styling with its urban, somewhat dark aesthetic. Her Constellation Skin (lower left) is something from a dream.

Adventures in Vintage is one of the vintage shops that inspired me to open Slow Lane:: Lost&Found. In a time when Etsy is crowded with vintage shops, Jenna White of Adventures in Vintage keeps her promise to find only the finest vintage housewares and home decor. Check out her excellent collection of brass figures (don't miss the amazing unicorns!)
