After "What state do you live in?", here comes a new interesting project: 50 and 50 from Society 6. Curated by Dan Cassaro, the project attempts to construct a handsome new way of looking at the United States. Fifty designers, one per state, have illustrated their state motto: a kind of designer's atlas.
I spend a couple of long enjoyable minutes looking at each, trying to figure out more about the history and character of each state from the artwork. For someone like me who is not an American, the way each state got such a different personality is fascinating.

"labor conquers all things ok" has got me thinking and I like the look of it too x
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a designer's atlas, and you're right, each state does have a different 'personality'. I wonder what Australia would look like if it was given similar artistic treatment?
ReplyDeletegreat project! also just spend some time trying to figure out the essence of each of them! some I got, some I have no clue :)
