Curating Colour

It has been more than a week here since we last spotted the sun.
I'm sure it is there somewhere, but as far as the gray sky looks like, there is no clear evidence.
I love the winter. The last couple of weeks were glorious, but I desperately need some colour!!

Lucky us for artists like Kirra Jamison and Courtney Price that use the whole spectrum of colour in their works.

Those five works are from Kirra's series Love Me Two Times. I find them so inspirational in term of the fabulous colour palettes Kirra is using. They also have such a strong pattern identity to them which made me imagine them printed on my beddings. Wouldn't it be fantastic to snuggle under a blanket printed with one of those works? I'm sure it will cause a totally magical, wild dreams.

Courtney Price's series Rectangular Objects uses colour in the totally opposite way than Kirra Jamison's soft organic shapes; the works are geometric, using very bold and distinct colour.

Hope the sun shines at your part of the world! Have a colourful day! x
