It was a love at first sight when I saw the Areaware Cubebot. And a very big WOW....
Designed by David Weeks, the Cubebot is inspired by the Japanese Shinto Kumi-ki puzzles, makes it a non-traditional take on the toy robot by joining ancient Japanese traditions with contemporary toy culture.
One of the things that impresses me the most is that unlike his robot friends that are usually made of plastic, require batteries and win their fame by making too much noise, the Areaware Cubebot is made of sustainably harvested beech wood, is quite and clever.
This smart looking toy with its contemporary geometric design will surely remain classic years from now. Brilliant!
that is awesome! thanks for posting, this is something i know my son would love!
